MRINAL KANTI BARDHAN
Mrinal Kanti Bardhan is a luminary in Indian art, born in 1930 in Feni, Bangladesh. He pursued Painting and Sculpture at the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Calcutta, and later completed a course in History of Art and Art Appreciation from Ashutosh Museum, University of Kolkata. After migrating to India as a refugee, Bardhan settled in Delhi in 1953, where he spent the rest of his life.
Bardhan's artistic excellence earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the National Award from Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, the President of India's Silver Plaque, and awards from the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society, New Delhi, and the Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar. His works are part of esteemed collections in India and abroad, such as the Moscow Art Gallery, Sophia An Gallery in Bulgaria, Lalit Kala Academy, and the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.
