RANJITH RAGHUPATHY
Born in 1974 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Ranjith Raghupathy inherited a rich artistic legacy from his grandfather, renowned sculptor O.V. Achari. With a passion for creative expression, Raghupathy has showcased his art in twelve solo exhibitions across India, participated in numerous group shows, and received several awards. A multifaceted artist, Raghupathy published Beyond the Words in 2011 and has written and directed ten short films and a feature film, which has screened at international film festivals and garnered accolades.
Ranjith Raghupathy's artwork delves into the complexities of human existence, unraveling intricate philosophies and psychological nuances. By demystifying reality and icons, he juxtaposes them with the anthropological descent of humanity. Experimenting with diverse media, techniques, and textures, Raghupathy exercises restraint, transferring the images from his mind’s eye onto canvas with precision. Through his art, Raghupathy invites viewers to contemplate the human condition, sparking introspection and self-discovery.
