Emerging from a rich tapestry of earthy tones, Reflex X by K. M. Adimoolam commands attention through its evocative interplay of color and texture. The painting’s deep ochres and siennas are masterfully interwoven with vibrant bursts of verdant green and ember-like reds, creating a visual dialogue that suggests both the rawness of untamed wilderness and the fragile remnants of distant memories. Adimoolam’s layering technique lends the work a palpable depth, inviting viewers into a nuanced exploration of space that oscillates between the tangible and the ephemeral.
The textured surface acts as a physical and metaphorical landscape, where each brushstroke resonates with intention, building a complex narrative of nature’s enduring mystery. The artist’s sophisticated use of contrast, between muted earth tones and sudden flares of color generates a dynamic tension that is simultaneously intense and contemplative. This tension mirrors the duality of existence itself, balancing the primal with the refined, the chaotic with the controlled.
Adimoolam’s compositional approach reveals a deep engagement with the notion of memory and place. The painting evokes an emotional resonance, as if recalling a forgotten wilderness etched not only in the physical world but also in the subconscious. The viewer is invited to traverse this layered terrain, experiencing the push and pull of emotion embedded within the dense, textural folds of paint.
Through Reflex X, Adimoolam continues his legacy of merging abstraction with cultural specificity. His deft synthesis of form and color transcends conventional representation, instead offering a symbolic meditation on nature, memory, and transformation. The work exemplifies the artist’s ability to communicate profound philosophical ideas through an abstract visual vocabulary, making the piece both timeless and deeply personal. Reflex X stands as a testament to K. M. Adimoolam’s mastery in channeling the intensity of human experience into a refined and enigmatic composition. It is a painting that demands close, sustained attention, rewarding viewers with a rich, immersive encounter that lingers long after the gaze has shifted.

Why Choose Us
Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.
All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.

Mrs Mayor was walked into the art world by the legendary modernist Bimal Das Gupta, one of whose biggest collections remains with Gallery Silver Scapes. In the 1980s, as head and first curator of the Habiart Gallery founded by Mrs Rekha Modi — a childhood friend — Mrs Mayor worked closely with and curated shows for renowned artists such as A Ramachandran, GR Santosh, Rameshwar Broota, Sakti Burman, MK Bardhan, Dhiraj Chaudhury, M Sivanesan, and Arup Das among others.
Besides modern masters, she also worked with young contemporaries such as Sudip Roy, Paresh Maity, Subroto Kundu, Vinod Sharma, and many more. Artworks commissioned by her are now part of prestigious collections, such as those of the India Habitat Centre, Ranbaxy, Pepsi, Hotel Lalit, Bank of America, and many more private and public collections.
