This vibrant abstract painting presents an intimate tableau of three female figures rendered with stylized simplicity and expressive warmth. The artist employs bold lines and flat planes of color to create forms that emphasize emotional connection and shared experience over detailed realism. The figures’ faces, depicted in three-quarter view, invite the viewer into their subtle interactions and communal narrative.
Dominated by a rich palette of warm oranges, reds, and yellows, the composition radiates energy and vitality. This warmth is beautifully balanced by the cool, light-toned blue scarf or head covering worn by the central figure, which introduces a striking contrast and focal point within the scene. The interplay of warm and cool hues enhances the painting’s dynamic quality while guiding the viewer’s eye across the composition. The women’s attire features elements of patterned fabric and decorative embellishments, adding layers of texture and cultural resonance. These details, though stylized, evoke a sense of heritage and individuality within the collective presence of the group. Among the figures, a white bird, possibly a swan, adds a poetic touch, symbolizing purity, grace, or transformation. Its presence weaves additional meaning into the scene, serving as a visual bridge that connects the figures and reinforces the theme of unity.
The composition is carefully balanced, with details and forms flowing seamlessly between the figures. This overlapping and blending of elements suggests movement, fluidity, and the deep emotional bonds shared among the women. The artist’s use of simplified shapes and bold colors distills the essence of relationship and empathy, making the painting resonate on a universal level. Painting is a powerful celebration of connection, identity, and shared human experience, rendered through a masterful blend of abstraction, color, and form.

Why Choose Us
Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.
All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.

Mrs Mayor was walked into the art world by the legendary modernist Bimal Das Gupta, one of whose biggest collections remains with Gallery Silver Scapes. In the 1980s, as head and first curator of the Habiart Gallery founded by Mrs Rekha Modi — a childhood friend — Mrs Mayor worked closely with and curated shows for renowned artists such as A Ramachandran, GR Santosh, Rameshwar Broota, Sakti Burman, MK Bardhan, Dhiraj Chaudhury, M Sivanesan, and Arup Das among others.
Besides modern masters, she also worked with young contemporaries such as Sudip Roy, Paresh Maity, Subroto Kundu, Vinod Sharma, and many more. Artworks commissioned by her are now part of prestigious collections, such as those of the India Habitat Centre, Ranbaxy, Pepsi, Hotel Lalit, Bank of America, and many more private and public collections.
