Vibrant and emotionally rich painting captures a powerful moment of female connection and shared presence. Multiple women are depicted in close proximity, their bodies intertwined through gesture, gaze, and movement. Rendered in a stylized and expressive manner, the figures exude warmth, energy, and a sense of collective intimacy that transcends spoken dialogue.

The artist employs a bold and saturated palette, rich reds, deep oranges, glowing yellows, and striking blues dominate the canvas, infusing the scene with vitality and symbolic resonance. These warm hues are counterbalanced by cooler greens and earthy browns in the background, creating depth and harmony within the composition. The dynamic layering of colors adds not only visual complexity but also emotional weight to the scene. Kishore’s figures are shaped by fluid, confident brushstrokes that remain visible across the surface, lending the work a tactile, almost sculptural texture. This painterly approach enhances the physicality of the subjects, reinforcing their strength and grounded presence. The women’s features are slightly exaggerated, elongated limbs, expressive eyes, stylized profiles, imbuing them with a sense of mythic or archetypal identity, while also emphasizing their individuality and emotional range.

The clothing worn by the figures is adorned with intricate patterns and detailed motifs, hinting at cultural specificity while also functioning as a visual rhythm that moves the viewer’s eye across the canvas. These decorative elements serve to contrast the simplicity of form with the richness of experience, reinforcing the idea that everyday interactions are layered with meaning, beauty, and tradition. At the heart of this composition is a celebration of female camaraderie, a shared moment of conversation, laughter, or quiet reflection. There is no single focal point; instead, the figures are arranged to suggest collective engagement, as if each woman is both subject and participant in the unfolding narrative. This compositional approach invites viewers to consider the nuances of interpersonal connection, especially among women, and the subtle power of companionship and mutual understanding.

In this work, Nawal Kishore continues to explore themes of identity, community, and emotional expression through a lens that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. The painting stands as a testament to the beauty of shared experiences and the strength found in human connection.

Why Choose Us

Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.

All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.

Mrs Mayor was walked into the art world by the legendary modernist Bimal Das Gupta, one of whose biggest collections remains with Gallery Silver Scapes.
