This striking artwork presents a powerful, mythic figure that fuses fantastical imagination with raw, instinctual energy. At the center of the composition, a creature of commanding presence emerges, its robust, muscular form rendered in dark, earthy tones interwoven with bold strokes of green. These colors evoke a primal connection to nature, grounding the figure in an elemental, untamed world. The creature’s face is constructed with strong, angular lines that give it a totemic and iconic presence. With an elongated head, a prominent brow, and curving horns or antennae, the figure evokes a mythical beast, part spirit, part guardian, part unknown entity. Though abstract, the eyes and mouth possess a quiet intensity, suggesting an inner life beneath the surface, a mix of emotion, wisdom, or restrained ferocity.
Set against a muted, open background, the creature takes on a near-monumental quality. The artist’s use of loose, swirling brushwork and atmospheric shadows adds movement and vitality, imbuing the figure with a sense of life that transcends the static frame. The surrounding space enhances the sense of isolation and focus, allowing the viewer to fully engage with the creature’s enigmatic form.
The work resonates with themes of transformation and the blurred boundary between the human, animalistic, and spiritual realms. Its abstract execution and organic, flowing lines encourage open interpretation, viewers may perceive a guardian spirit, an embodiment of inner strength or chaos, or a symbolic exploration of primal forces and unconscious emotions. Signed in the lower right corner, the painting bears the artist’s personal imprint, emphasizing its nature as an expressive and singular creation. More than a representation, this artwork is an invocation, of myth, instinct, and imagination, offering a deeply engaging visual and psychological experience.

Why Choose Us
Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.
All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.

Mrs Mayor was walked into the art world by the legendary modernist Bimal Das Gupta, one of whose biggest collections remains with Gallery Silver Scapes. In the 1980s, as head and first curator of the Habiart Gallery founded by Mrs Rekha Modi — a childhood friend — Mrs Mayor worked closely with and curated shows for renowned artists such as A Ramachandran, GR Santosh, Rameshwar Broota, Sakti Burman, MK Bardhan, Dhiraj Chaudhury, M Sivanesan, and Arup Das among others.
Besides modern masters, she also worked with young contemporaries such as Sudip Roy, Paresh Maity, Subroto Kundu, Vinod Sharma, and many more. Artworks commissioned by her are now part of prestigious collections, such as those of the India Habitat Centre, Ranbaxy, Pepsi, Hotel Lalit, Bank of America, and many more private and public collections.
