This abstract acrylic painting presents a dynamic interplay of color and form, where vibrant tones flow and merge across a light, neutral background. Dominated by vivid hues of pink, magenta, purple, and yellow, the composition appears to pulse with life. The brushstrokes and paint flows create a sense of organic movement, at once freeform and deliberate, drawing the viewer’s eye in continuous motion throughout the canvas.

The arrangement evokes a mirrored symmetry, as though the image is split along a vertical axis, with each half subtly echoing the other. This repetition lends the painting a visual rhythm and balance, while still maintaining enough variation to avoid predictability. It is a dialogue of form and color, where one side speaks and the other responds. This reflective quality hints at duality, perhaps suggesting inner and outer self, thought and emotion, or body and spirit. Amidst the sweeping layers and curves, hints of figuration begin to emerge. The viewer may discern suggestions of human forms or silhouettes, though never defined, floating and bending within the painted currents. This ambiguity encourages individual interpretation. It becomes less a matter of identifying subjects than of feeling the emotional tone and visual energy that the painting radiates.

The artist’s use of acrylic allows for rich saturation and fluid application, giving the colors a luminosity and transparency that shift subtly with the ambient light. The technique suggests pouring, dragging, and layering, creating a tactile surface where color transitions are smooth yet unpredictable. The beige or off-white background serves not as a void, but as a quiet field that allows the swirling forms to breathe. It provides contrast without overpowering, supporting the composition’s balance between chaos and control. This work sensory rather than analytical response. It does not narrate or instruct, but rather immerses the viewer in an experience of movement, repetition, and resonance. Whether seen as a meditation on form, a visual expression of music, or simply an exploration of balance and color, the painting offers an open-ended encounter that shifts with each viewing. It stands as an exploration of abstract expression grounded in both symmetry and spontaneity.

Why Choose Us

Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.

All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.

Mrs Mayor was walked into the art world by the legendary modernist Bimal Das Gupta, one of whose biggest collections remains with Gallery Silver Scapes. In the 1980s, as head and first curator of the Habiart Gallery founded by Mrs Rekha Modi — a childhood friend — Mrs Mayor worked closely with and curated shows for renowned artists such as A Ramachandran, GR Santosh, Rameshwar Broota, Sakti Burman, MK Bardhan, Dhiraj Chaudhury, M Sivanesan, and Arup Das among others.

Besides modern masters, she also worked with young contemporaries such as Sudip Roy, Paresh Maity, Subroto Kundu, Vinod Sharma, and many more. Artworks commissioned by her are now part of prestigious collections, such as those of the India Habitat Centre, Ranbaxy, Pepsi, Hotel Lalit, Bank of America, and many more private and public collections.
