This extraordinary artwork presents a richly layered, mythologically charged composition centered around a powerful, multifaceted figure. At once a creature and a cosmos, the central form appears to be a hybrid entity, part bull or ox, part celestial being, whose majestic wings extend outward in symmetrical arcs. These wings, resplendent with intricate gold filigree patterns, anchor the composition and set the tone for the elaborate, symbolic detailing that pervades the work.
Rendered in a dramatic palette of deep reds, shimmering golds, inky blacks, rich browns, and luminous blues, the figure commands attention. Its surface is a visual mosaic of embedded imagery, ornaments, armor-like motifs, sacred emblems, and cultural references, all coalescing to evoke a divine or otherworldly presence. The composite anatomy of the figure, with its animalistic form and ethereal embellishments, suggests a symbolic embodiment of strength, protection, and cosmic power.
Upon closer inspection, numerous smaller figures emerge from within the body and wings of the central being. These intricately rendered characters, possibly deities, spirits, or ancestral guardians, are adorned with distinct attire, weapons, and accessories, each engaged in their own expressive gesture or ritualistic pose. Their integration into the larger figure’s anatomy underscores themes of interconnectedness, mythological lineage, and collective divinity. They transform the artwork into a visual narrative, one that honors the richness of tradition while exploring deeper metaphysical concepts.
The background is a muted teal or turquoise tone, which both grounds the composition and accentuates the vivid colorwork of the central figure. The soft contrast allows the intricate details to stand out while contributing to an ethereal atmosphere, part earthly, part celestial. Stylistically, the artwork draws on traditions of Indian folk and miniature painting while infusing it with a contemporary vision and mythopoeic complexity. The artist’s masterful attention to detail, evident in the precision of patterns, the subtle gradation of color, and the fine articulation of form, invites prolonged engagement. This work is more than an image; it is a symbolic epic rendered on canvas, a visual mythology where divinity, humanity, and nature merge into a single, awe-inspiring form. It stands as a testament to both the imagination and cultural depth of the artist’s vision.

Why Choose Us
Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.
All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.

Mrs Mayor was walked into the art world by the legendary modernist Bimal Das Gupta, one of whose biggest collections remains with Gallery Silver Scapes. In the 1980s, as head and first curator of the Habiart Gallery founded by Mrs Rekha Modi — a childhood friend — Mrs Mayor worked closely with and curated shows for renowned artists such as A Ramachandran, GR Santosh, Rameshwar Broota, Sakti Burman, MK Bardhan, Dhiraj Chaudhury, M Sivanesan, and Arup Das among others.
Besides modern masters, she also worked with young contemporaries such as Sudip Roy, Paresh Maity, Subroto Kundu, Vinod Sharma, and many more. Artworks commissioned by her are now part of prestigious collections, such as those of the India Habitat Centre, Ranbaxy, Pepsi, Hotel Lalit, Bank of America, and many more private and public collections.
