This vibrant and intricately detailed artwork presents a complex, stylized figure that commands the viewer’s attention through its layered symbolism and rich ornamentation. At its core lies a grand, multi-faceted being that seamlessly merges aspects of various mythological creatures and symbolic forms, creating a compelling tapestry of narratives and visual motifs.
Set against a muted greyish-purple background that enhances the vibrancy of the central figure, the composition utilizes a rich and diverse palette. Warm golds shimmer alongside deep greens, browns, purples, and vibrant oranges, all harmoniously woven together to create a sense of depth and visual dynamism. The artist’s masterful use of color emphasizes the figure’s elaborate anatomy, garments, weaponry, and decorative elements, each rendered with painstaking attention to detail.
The figure’s anatomy is highly stylized and complex, suggesting wings or large appendages that extend outward, lending a sense of movement and expansiveness to the composition. This layered arrangement creates a dynamic interplay between foreground and background elements, inviting viewers to explore the multifaceted imagery. Embedded within and around the central form are numerous smaller figures and symbolic objects, each adding layers of narrative richness. These subsidiary scenes appear to depict a variety of mythological or cultural stories, hinting at themes of power, protection, spirituality, and transformation. The meticulous detailing invites prolonged contemplation, rewarding the viewer with new discoveries upon each viewing.
The artwork’s decorative and symbolic approach draws on a rich cultural or mythological tradition, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens that balances intricate craftsmanship with expressive visual storytelling. The style suggests the use of printmaking or painting techniques characterized by strong patterns, bold color contrasts, and textured surfaces. This piece exemplifies a sophisticated fusion of artistry and symbolism. It invites viewers into a visually immersive experience, one where myth and meaning intertwine with masterful composition and vibrant coloration. This artwork stands as a testament to the enduring power of narrative art to convey complex cultural identities and timeless themes through a modern yet deeply rooted aesthetic.

Why Choose Us
Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.
All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.

Mrs Mayor was walked into the art world by the legendary modernist Bimal Das Gupta, one of whose biggest collections remains with Gallery Silver Scapes. In the 1980s, as head and first curator of the Habiart Gallery founded by Mrs Rekha Modi — a childhood friend — Mrs Mayor worked closely with and curated shows for renowned artists such as A Ramachandran, GR Santosh, Rameshwar Broota, Sakti Burman, MK Bardhan, Dhiraj Chaudhury, M Sivanesan, and Arup Das among others.
Besides modern masters, she also worked with young contemporaries such as Sudip Roy, Paresh Maity, Subroto Kundu, Vinod Sharma, and many more. Artworks commissioned by her are now part of prestigious collections, such as those of the India Habitat Centre, Ranbaxy, Pepsi, Hotel Lalit, Bank of America, and many more private and public collections.
