This vibrant and intricately detailed artwork by Jitendra Dangi offers a contemporary yet deeply rooted portrayal of Hindu mythology, depicting two central figures, likely the deities Shiva and Parvati, seated together on a stylized bicycle or motorcycle. The composition uniquely blends traditional iconography with a modern visual narrative, presenting divine figures in an unconventional yet evocative setting.

The figure on the left, presumed to be Shiva, is rendered in a striking teal-blue hue, symbolizing his divine nature. His attire is richly patterned and appears crafted from natural materials, underscoring his connection with nature and asceticism. Adorned with delicate jewelry and expressive hand gestures, Shiva’s depiction balances serenity and spiritual power. Seated beside him is a figure likely representing Parvati, rendered in soft peach and beige tones. Her flowing hair, intricate crown, and golden-yellow sash emphasize her regal and nurturing qualities. Both figures are embellished with numerous small symbols and ornamental details, which add layers of meaning and invite close, contemplative viewing.

The bicycle or motorcycle on which they sit is highly stylized, with large, ornate wheels and a frame that evokes the appearance of carved wood or organic materials. This fusion of the traditional and contemporary creates a visual metaphor for movement, journey, and the evolving nature of cultural narratives. Set against a rich, dark forest-green background, the surrounding space is filled with stylized trees and foliage painted in various shades of gold and green. This lush environment adds depth and texture while reinforcing the natural and spiritual themes. Small, mythical or symbolic animals are subtly incorporated within the forest scene, enhancing the narrative’s mystical ambiance.

The figures, a straw-like umbrella or shelter provides a sense of protection and intimacy, contributing to the painting’s overall serene yet vibrant atmosphere. Framed by the deep green backdrop, the composition invites viewers to explore the harmonious blend of mythological tradition and contemporary storytelling. Jitendra Dangi’s work reflects a masterful interplay of symbolism, detail, and color, creating a visually compelling homage to divine partnership and cultural heritage.

Why Choose Us

Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.

All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.
