A richly symbolic and intricately composed artwork that commands attention through its harmonious blend of mythology, cultural iconography, and visual opulence. At the heart of the composition stands a central figure, possibly a deity, spiritual guardian, or mythological archetype, adorned with a radiant crown whose golden rays extend outward like sunbeams, suggesting divine or cosmic authority.
The figure's visage is detailed and expressive, with facial features rendered in an ornate, stylized manner. Layers of clothing and ornamentation in deep reds, earthy browns, gilded golds, and verdant greens create an almost sculptural surface, as if the garments themselves are imbued with sacred meaning. The layering and embellishment lend both depth and richness, inviting viewers to study the textures and intricacies that hint at ceremonial or ritualistic importance.
Positioned prominently near the figure is a large, stylized bird, likely a macaw or another exotic avian whose vivid plumage and elegant posture contribute a tropical vibrancy to the scene. Symbolically, birds in mythologies often signify messengers, freedom, or spiritual ascension, and its placement here suggests a connection between the earthly and the divine.
Beneath and partly behind the central figure lies a majestic creature resembling a lion or mythological beast. With feline-like facial features and a dense, textured mane, this guardian presence appears protective, almost sentient, reinforcing the aura of strength and vigilance. The positioning of this animal form beneath the figure enhances the composition’s totemic quality, suggesting layered realms of power, nature, and the spiritual.
The dark maroon or chocolate-brown background sets a dramatic stage, enriching the visual intensity of the central forms and accentuating their symbolic presence. Decorative patterns and subtle detailing emerge from the background, supporting the overall harmony and narrative density of the work. The use of symbolic fauna, regal attire, and mythic construction suggests a narrative rooted in cultural heritage and spiritual cosmology. It invites the viewer into a mythopoetic world, part history, part imagination, where power, protection, and transcendence are intricately interwoven.

Why Choose Us
Art has always, naturally, reflected the development and exploration of different thoughts and perceptions, and our current postmodern era is no different. It is interesting to see how art has evolved visually, yet the traditional methods of composing art remain a valid means of expression.
All it takes for an artist to rise above normalcy, is inspiration, which fuels his passion to paint beautiful creations throughout his life.
The valuable expression of art is always there with us, but now this expression is yet to take an interesting diversion with our art gallery, Gallery Silver Scapes, located in Hauz Khas Enclave. Art is no longer considered just decorative but has evolved and come forth as a major form of investment yielding high rates of returns for its buyers, making it an expression commonly used.

Mrs Mayor was walked into the art world by the legendary modernist Bimal Das Gupta, one of whose biggest collections remains with Gallery Silver Scapes. In the 1980s, as head and first curator of the Habiart Gallery founded by Mrs Rekha Modi — a childhood friend — Mrs Mayor worked closely with and curated shows for renowned artists such as A Ramachandran, GR Santosh, Rameshwar Broota, Sakti Burman, MK Bardhan, Dhiraj Chaudhury, M Sivanesan, and Arup Das among others.
Besides modern masters, she also worked with young contemporaries such as Sudip Roy, Paresh Maity, Subroto Kundu, Vinod Sharma, and many more. Artworks commissioned by her are now part of prestigious collections, such as those of the India Habitat Centre, Ranbaxy, Pepsi, Hotel Lalit, Bank of America, and many more private and public collections.
